'Adhir won't decide, will be axed if...': Kharge on alliance with Mamata
The recent arrest of former Food Minister Jyotipriya Mallick in a ration distribution corruption case has intensified the ongoing verbal battle between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Trinamool Congress in the state. Leader of the Opposition, SuvenduAdhikari, fired the first shot by releasing a list of Trinamool Congress MLAs and ministers who have faced arrests in corruption cases within the state.
In response, Trinamool Congress spokesperson Kunal Ghosh launched a counterattack on the BJP, emphasizing that it's not unexpected for Suvendu to be incarcerated.
Suvendu Adhikari posted the list of arrested Trinamool Congress leaders on his social media handle and remarked that "Perhaps the cabinet meeting and assembly session will have to be called in jail itself."
Kunal Ghosh, in retaliation, accused the BJP of deploying investigative agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as political weapons and labeled them as "caged dogs." Ghosh went on to remind Adhikari of allegations made by Saradha chief Sudipta Sen against him and urged for his immediate arrest.
